Objectives:

Analyze and predict the effects of human modification on the physical environment in the areas of:
·       Global  Warming
·       Deforestation
·       Air Pollution
·       Water Pollution
·       Mining
·       Desertification
·       Urbanization/Communities
·       Renewable & Non-Renewable Resources

Guiding Question:
How do we, as humans, imprint the environment in a negative way; and what can be done to lessen our impact on the earth?

Mastery of the Unit:
·     Students will master a series of assessments on each area of human environmental imprints at 80% or above.

·     This includes, but is not limited to, quizzes on water and air pollution, deforestation, urbanization and global warming; as well as, authentic product assessments such as slideshows or research projects.
