Differentiation
After viewing a selected video on Discovery Education about global warming and reading an article in Time for Kids magazine students will complete a related activity differentiated by complexity.Group A: Students will debate whether global warming is man-made or just a natural cycle in the earth. Students will have to do research to back up their facts by using internet and print resources.
Group B: Students will conduct a survey of peer awareness and understanding of global warming. They will design the questions and decide how to report their findings in a newscast or chart.
Group C: Students will cut out a word from card stock dealing with global warming. They will illustrate it with as many pictures from magazines as it takes to cover the lettering.
